Empowering young people through storytelling
Bio-You Toon is a 24-month Cooperation Partnership that aims to raise awareness and foster education on the critical importance of biodiversity among today’s youth.
The project aims to empower young people to take action in biodiversity conservation and cultivate collaborations between youth NGOs and budding researchers, all through an innovative medium: comics.
Through “BioYouToon” the Consortium will harness the captivating power of Webtoon storytelling to engage and inspire youth across the globe.
A series of interactive and visually stunning webcomics (created by local artists) will transport readers into a world where biodiversity comes alive. Through compelling narratives, relatable characters, and thought-provoking plotlines, the stories will immerse young readers in the wonders of nature and awaken their sense of responsibility as stewards of our planet.
Xsentrikarts to create comics
Xsentrikarts will oversee the process and work with young artists in Vienna to create a series of digital comics we hope will inspire a new generation to take action.
We’re looking forward to developing training modules, interacting with the youth on topics of bio-diversity conservation and witness their creativity flow as they come up with characters, situations and stories on the topic of preserving the diversity of our ecological system.
